Applications of Extruded Plastic Mesh

                                                                                                                                  Applications of Extruded Plastic Mesh

Extruded plastic mesh is a highly durable and versatile material produced by melting thermoplastic resins, such as Polypropylene (PP) or High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), and forcing them through a rotating die. Unlike woven mesh, extruded mesh features a fused joint structure that provides superior dimensional stability and rigidity.

1. Gardening & Farming
  • Bird Netting: Placed over fruit trees to stop birds from eating the crops.

  • Tree Guards: Wrapped around young trees to protect them from hungry animals.

  • Plant Support: Helps climbing plants (like beans or cucumbers) grow upwards.

2. Protection & Packaging
  • Protective Sleeves: You often see these mesh "socks" on wine bottles or metal parts to prevent scratches during shipping.

  • Fruit Bags: Used for packaging items like onions, oranges, or garlic.

3. Industrial Filtration
  • Support Layer: It acts as a "skeleton" inside air or water filters to help them keep their shape under pressure.

4. Safety & Construction

  • Safety Fences: The bright orange mesh used at construction sites to block off dangerous areas.

  • Erosion Control: Laid on the ground to keep soil and grass in place.

5. Aquaculture (Fishing)
  • Oyster Bags: Used to grow oysters and clams in the ocean because plastic doesn't rot or rust in saltwater.
